A creative maker space located on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.
What is The Workshop?
The Workshop is a (privately-owned) shared maker space. If you have a practice of any kind but are in need of more space to build, paint, sculpt, weave, make sound, perform, explore, photograph, film, animate, etc. – submit your project idea for the Winter/Spring 2017 season. Come make something cool by the wood stove.
Applications are open to professional artists and hobbyists alike. Project timelines should aim for a maximum of 2-4 weeks so that we can share the love around. We’ll run projects from December to April. All applications are subject to approval by our committee. All participants will be required to sign a non-liability clause.
AN OPEN, MULTIDISCIPLINARY WORKSPACE
The space is 19′ x 24′ with 8′ ceilings. It is located just outside the community of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It is wood stove heated, has electrical hookups and concrete floors. There is also a record/CD/MP3 player for playing sweet tunes.
A HOMEGROWN RESIDENCY
“Sometimes I plays darts there, sometimes I makes arts there.”
“Finally! Somewhere big enough to use all the thousands of my lithograph linotype printing gizmos!”
“No offense to anyone else’s dad, but Christopher is just SO strong, you know?”
